School District 22 to Host Information Session for Prospective Trustee Candidates
Vernon, BC — School District No. 22 (Vernon) is inviting community members interested in serving as a School Board Trustee to attend an upcoming information session ahead of the October 2026 Trustee elections.
The session will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the School District 22 Board Office (1401 15th Street, Vernon).
This session will support individuals who are considering running for a Trustee position by providing a clear overview of the role and responsibilities of elected Board members. Secretary Treasurer Adrian Johnson noted the value of clarity around expectations:
“Running for Trustee is a significant commitment. This session will offer practical insights into the governance role, including responsibilities related to oversight, accountability, and setting the long-term goals of the school district.”
