Your Homestay Family is an important part of your study-abroad experience. Your homestay application helps our Homestay Coordinators to match you with one of our approved families. Your homestay family provides a safe and secure home environment, your own furnished bedroom, 3 meals and snacks each day, and of course will welcome you into their family’s activities. Each family must pass our screening process, which includes personal interviews, a home inspection, and the government’s Criminal Record Check process. Your homestay family is your open door to experience the Canadian lifestyle, one that embraces a diversity of cultures and backgrounds.

Your Homestay Coordinator is often your first point of contact while you are here, especially if you have any questions or concerns about homestay. They can work with you to communicate with your homestay family, if you feel you cannot. They also support you in communication with your agents, and can help coordinate many parts of your stay in Vernon. Our Homestay Coordinators are key support staff to ensure you feel welcome and supported during your stay in Vernon.
